Drug Addiction
Drug addiction treatment may require a medically supervised detoxification to clear the body of drugs and safely manage withdrawal symptoms. It ensures that a person is physically stable and ready to start therapy to overcome their addiction.
One Step rehab can arrange for you to detox from benzodiazepines, marijuana, cocaine, heroin, crystal methamphetamine (also known as ice or meth), amphetamine, ecstasy (MDMA), GHB and ketamine.
After your initial detox (typically 3 to 10 days long) you can start our residential treatment program where we can address behavioral changes with extensive psychotherapy and holistic treatments.

Process Addictions and Compulsive Behaviors
Process addictions are less well known than alcohol or drug addiction, but can be equally as devastating for those affected. Compulsive behaviors and process addiction are similar to substance addiction from a physiological perspective, but without the physical signs you might associate with drug addiction.
Compulsive behaviors that an individual engages in- be it gaming, gambling, or sex– triggers the brain’s reward system and delivers a release of dopamine in the brain. As the process gets repeated over time, tolerance increases, and the person feels the urge to continue their destructive behavior, with increased intensity and a disregard to the consequences of their actions.
One Step Rehab’s treatment program provides effective therapies to help you overcome compulsive behaviors, providing a chance to recuperate after an initial stabilisation period, before commencing with intensive psychotherapy, to begin tackling the root cause of compulsive behaviors.[/vc_column_text][ult_buttons btn_title=”PROCESS ADDICTION TREATMENT” btn_link=”url:https%3A%2F%2Fstaging2.onesteprehab.com%2Fprocess-addiction%2F” btn_title_color=”#ffffff” btn_bg_color=”#d83131″ icon_size=”32″ btn_icon_pos=”ubtn-sep-icon-at-left” btn_shadow=”shd-bottom” btn_shadow_color=”#ededed” btn_shadow_size=”5″][vc_separator el_width=”80″][vc_column_text]
Dual Diagnosis and Co-occurring Disorders
Dual Diagnosis is when a person is diagnosed with a substance use disorder (SUD) as well as a co-occurring mental health disorder such as depression, anxiety, or PTSD. The treatment of dual diagnosis requires an integrated treatment program that can address both disorders as interconnected issues.

According to the National Survey on Drug Use and Health (NSDUH), 45% of people with addiction have a co-occurring mental health disorder, but it is possible to recover by successfully attaining the fulfilling a healthy and productive life.
Dual diagnosis is surprisingly common among those suffering from addiction. Co-occurring disorders tend to exacerbate and add fuel to addictive behaviors, which can be a barrier to recovery, if the underlying mental health disorder is not treated in tandem with the addiction.
At One Step, our small, yet diverse and experienced team are duly qualified in the fields of mental health and addiction. We will provide you with a comprehensive treatment plan that can deliver the best outcomes, and set you on a path to long-term sobriety and life-long recovery.
